Born and raised in Manila, Anna Guerrero began her ballet training at STEPS Dance Studio where she studied for several years on scholarship under the direction of Sofia Zobel-Elizalde. She passed the Advanced 2 Level of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) with the highest grade of Distinction. She then joined Philippine Ballet Theatre, the country’s premier classical ballet company. Only in her first season with the company, she was immediately selected to perform a major role as Friend of Swanilda in its production of Coppelia.
Anna moved to New York City to train privately under Valentina Kozlova at the Dance Conservatory of New York (VKDCNY). She is a recipient of several awards from prestigious international ballet competitions, including a Gold medal at the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition (VKIBC) held in St. Petersburg, Russia (2017), Bronze Medal and Special Award for “Best Interpretation of Contemporary Solo” at the VKIBC New York Finals (2016), a Silver Medal at the VKIBC Contemporary Competition (2014), and Silver and Bronze Medals at the XI Tanzolymp International Dance Festival (2014) in Berlin, Germany. Moreover, she has been selected to perform in galas in Berlin, New York City and at the historic Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg. She received her bachelor of arts degree in Economics, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2017.
Anna has attended summer intensives at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (2011), VKDCNY (2012-2016), Oklahoma City Ballet on full scholarship (2017), and Ajkun Ballet Theatre’s Performing in New York (2017). As a choreographer, her work has been performed at VKIBC 2017.
Anna joined American Repertory Ballet (ARB) as a trainee under the direction of Douglas Martin for the 2017-2018 season. She currently serves as program coordinator for VKDC the Studio and VKIBC.
Is a Resident Guest Artist with Valentina Kozlova, performing classical pas de deux and new contemporary works internationally. Justin Valentine began dancing in a small rural village with a retired ballet couple from Russia. It was in one of their shows that Justin met Valentina, and her dancers left a lasting impression on him. Later Justin moved to New York City to study with Valentina.
Justin has won numerous medals in international competitions including senior division gold medals, and has won several company contracts stateside and abroad. His favorite prize was a semester at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg Russia in Nikolai Tsiskaridze’s graduation class. While there he had the honor of dancing a solo role on the iconic stage of the Marinsky on Christmas day. He has performed in galas in New York City, Brussels, South Africa, Sochi, Helsinki, St. Petersburg Russia, Italy, Seoul, Ecuador and Croatia. Justin has judged in competitions in Ecuador and Paraguay also teaching master classes there, and is honing his skills managing rehearsals.
